My Almost New Bike

To help me get around my new surroundings and explore I decided to purchase a bike. But as I don't have much money left over after my recent escapades - interning in New York and the cost of moving down to Cambridgeshire - I bought a fixer upper.

An old school road bike (Puch 10 speed) for only £50! Total bargain. I kinda like these old bikes as they are made to last and also being so cheap it wouldn't be such a big problem if it was stolen. So after a little bit of work cleaned up components, replaced the brake cables and added new handle bar tape it was good to go.

I have to say this is the best purchase that I have made in a little while and I'm loving it. Cant imagine not having a bike. I think as soon as I save enough money I might just buy myself a faster and lighter one. Or even better if I had enough time maybe design my own!

Picture Time!

My flatmate said that he wanted to do some photography. As I've never really done any fancy picture taking before I decided to tag along. So I grabbed my crap camera and just decided to wing it and see what happens.

So we found ourselves in this place after a little walk. So Im thinking some sunset pictures maybe?

Which then lead to these:
Then in the end I also tried to do one of those cool long exposure shots with water:
Overall it was fun and is definately something I would like to get better at and explore. Maybe next time I'll borrow someones DSLR and tripod and see where that takes me.

New Job

After finishing my internship at Smart Design a good friend of mine introduced me to a product development consultancy called 42Technology. When I find out why its 42 in the company name I'll make sure to tell you.

So basically its a rapidly growing consultancy with 28 people currently in their team. Now this team got a little bigger with me adding to it :) All I have to say is the next few years are going to be extremely interesting as I have the opportunity to grow with it.

Now I live in St Ives just outside of Cambridge. My plans are to get used to the surroundings and see what its like to live in this area then make more permanent  arrangements for where I might want to stay.
